Job Description
The Material Program Manager (MPM) will be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of major program material strategies. The MPM will serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain, Sr. Leadership Team, Program Management and Finance for material budget support and execution. This person leads the front end of the SCM business activities, including early SCM management involvement and early supplier involvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review sourcing proposal activities including supplier selections and basis of estimates.
- Develop the risk/opportunity plan and work with buyers to execute and meet program objectives.
- Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
- Track and prepare material budget reporting of actuals to plan.
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and functional issues.
- Work closely with Planning, Purchasing and Quality to create POC receipt schedules based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Provides comprehensive Supply Chain support and compliance for program milestone activities and tailoring when applicable.
- Serves as SCM focal point for key project material budgets, supporting Program reviews and EAC reviews as needed.
- Support customer meetings, develop reports and facilities as required.
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance functions for support as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.

The Individual
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Professional experience in either Supply Chain, Program Management, or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability managing complex program/projects with budgets, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Experience in supply chain and related systems - procurement, MRP, receiving, cost estimating, and finance.
- Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management.
- Experience in preparation for, or support of negotiations with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze issues: gather relevant information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors.
- Ability to grasp complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues; seek input from others.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and the application to a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with all levels of internal management and customers.
- Self- started with the ability to work well independently.
- Ability to perform problem analysis and resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
Education: High School Diploma required. Advance Degree preferred.
Experience: 10 years’ experience in supply chain or program management
Security: U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). May be required to obtain a security clearance.
Travel: Up to 10%
