Summary

As the brand is growing so is our team! Egglife Foods is looking for a Materials Manager to join our Operations team, reporting to the plant manager. This position will be a key member of the operations staff helping drive teamwork, building teamwork and proper culture. Additionally, the position will be responsible for managing incoming materials required for plant operation and production. The position will also be responsible forcustomer order management, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution, transportation, and production scheduling. Ensuring Operations drives and achieves its KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), complies with all company, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and standards.

Who are you?

· Designs and implements the Materials / Supply Chain function for the plant to include but not limited to receiving, shipping, production scheduling, distribution, transportation, and inventory control of raw, packaging and finished goods.

· Creates, develops, and implements all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the department.

· Ensure all systems needed to receive, store, inventory and ship finished goods are set up and executed.

· Determine, define, and set up scheduling production, materials needed for production based on sales needs and customer demand.

· Determine, define, and set up inventory control system and the weekly/monthly inventories to ensure compliance, accountability, and business results.

· Determine, define, and set up customer order management processes and tools needed to meet customer on time and in full, service requirements.

· Determine and define all transportation needs to ship to 3PL’s, Distributors, Customers, etc.

· Determine, define, and implement department/plant KPI’s.

· Supports the plant teams in reviewing / developing operating standards, line speeds, outputs, waste, etc., to identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

· Coaches, mentors & develops staff, and employees.

• Developing and prioritizing departmental work plans for day-to-day operations and looking forward and defining mid- and long-term strategic needs and direction.
• Developing, monitoring, and ensuring that department runs within planned budgets
• Analyzing reports on operation methods, processes, and facilities considering current operational needs and future strategic objectives
• Preparing related reports and auditing current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations
• Working closely with other departments to develop and implement programs that provide superior service for the entire facility
• Ensuring safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations on environmental, health and safety
• Ensure all departmental employees follow all the plant Safety, Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, Sanitation programs to ensure compliance to all procedures and policies to ensure compliance to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Standards), PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment), company requirements, regulatory, federal, and local laws.
• Ensure proper documentation and appropriate steps are in place for all areas of the department.
• Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

• Familiarize yourself, comply with and ensure departmental personnel always comply with all EggLife Policies.

· Familiarize self, comply with, and ensure departmental personnel comply with Food Defense, QC, HACCP, SQF, GMP, IDEM, OSHA, and EggLife.

· Familiarize self, comply with, and ensure Materials personnel comply with all policies such as those listed within the EggLife Employee Handbook.

· Must treat employees, co-workers and management with respect and courtesy.

• All other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field is preferred.
• Also requires a minimum of 5 -10 years in a Supply Chain/Materials management role. This experience must include at least 5 years of managerial experience and 3 years of direct supervision responsibilities.
• Experience in a lean, food manufacturing environment is preferred.
• The ideal candidate would be a person who has leadership skills, experience in the function, been a supervisor, a manager in plant environment, has experience in supply planning, receiving, shipping, logistics, builds great teams and looking to be part of an exciting start up.
• He or she will also demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills and have the ability to work on a computer (understanding Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Proven experience in leading and developing direct reports.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing.
