Materials Manager manages the raw material planning processes to ensure an organization operates efficiently. Ensures raw materials are available to meet designated production schedules. Being a Materials Manager utilizes MRP system to manage material planning from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production. Develops forecasts for raw material needs by considering purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Additionally, Materials Manager coordinates with stakeholders in purchasing and inventory control when adjustments are needed and troubleshoots complex issues as necessary. Maintains supplier relationships and may negotiate lead times. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Overview
As the Manager, Financial Applications – Viewpoint ERP, you will play a key role in the organization’s ability to deliver business value by leveraging resources (People, Process and Technology) to benefit Summit Materials Systems users. This role provides guidance, training, and oversight in the capability and maturity development of systems as well as the organizational change management critical for adoption, acceptance, and sustainability of these capabilities.
This role also supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards, and federal / state regulations.
