Materials Management Supervisor supervises daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Management Supervisor coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations and staffing to enable workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Management Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. The Material Control Coordinator is accountable for consulting with and assisting ARH facilities and Clients with inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels and promote better usage of materials.
Maintain monthly inventory statistics for use in recommending proper inventory levels. Conduct studies for use in various projects such as recommendation of product usage, viability of ARH laundry services to clients, compliance with ARH inventory central systems, etc. May assist in developing and coordinating changes within ARH facilities and clients relating to materials management. Provide and analyze various reports as requested. May conduct in-service as requested by ARH or client facilities regarding inventory and/or materials management. May assist client in initial set-up of systems that cover services purchased from ARH. Coordinates the physical inventory of goods for ARH facilities and clients. May act as liaison between ARH and clients to maintain good relations. May assist in the transportation facet of the system which includes scheduling the pick-up and delivery of materials and maintenance and repair of vehicles. May audit facilities to assure compliance with established materials management Policy and Procedures. Performs other related duties as required.
High School Graduate and successful completion of one year of accredited college and/or materials management certification course. Minimum of three years experience in Inventory Control procedures. Must be familiar with medical facilities operation. Must be available for travel as required.
