Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Materials Management Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. The SPD Logistics Supervisor is engaged in overseeing daily operations of the Central Sterile Department including coordinating reprocessing functions and staff supervisory responsibilities. The SPD Logistics Supervisor coordinates and meets operating room sterile instruments and trays needs based on surgical schedule. The SPD Logistics Supervisor job duties include activities affecting more than one department and for which errors can have serious consequences. Responsibilities are directed toward achieving and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction within the Perioperative Services department in conjunction with collaborating clinics.

1. Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months) from the categories below:
A. College coursework in business administration, accounting, finance, operations management, or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
B. Progressively more responsible work experience in business or materials management functions (such as accounting, sales management, purchasing, stores/warehousing, and/or materials distribution).
2. One (1) year (12 months) of responsible work experience in business or materials management functions (such as accounting, sales management, purchasing, stores/warehousing, and/or materials distribution).
