Materials Management Supervisor supervises daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Management Supervisor coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations and staffing to enable workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Management Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Materials Management Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Management Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the property in accordance with Ten South Management's quality standards to ensure the highest possible quality of living for our residents. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Maintenance Supervisor is required to complete these tasks independently, without assistance from others.
The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for directing the work of the Maintenance Techs, ensuring their work meets the quality standards established by Ten South Management, providing instruction as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Additional trade school training would be a plus.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Plumbing and related repairs
- Electrical wiring and related repairs
- Air conditioning (EPA License)
- Locks
- Appliance operations and repairs
- Carpentry, general construction, wall and ceiling repairs
· Must be able to work overtime
· Must be able to give 24 hour availability
