Materials Management Supervisor supervises daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Management Supervisor coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations and staffing to enable workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Management Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Materials Management Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Management Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Position

    We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual with experience in a GxP environment to be responsible for end-to-end supply chain inventory management from raw materials through drug product performed internally or at external vendors. Ideal candidate would have minimum 5 years of GMP manufacturing experience in the areas of biotechnology/pharmaceuticals.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage inventory and expiry of raw materials/drug substance/drug product across global network of CDMOs and perform ongoing reconciliations and implement process improvements
    • Support MRP implementation for Materials Management and Tech Ops teams (Manufacturing, Quality, QC)
    • Support procurement and allocation of required materials and develop needed SOP/WI to facilitate usage
    • Execute system transactions including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, master data creation etc and support team members with education and job aids to facilitate broader knowledge of SAP functionality
    • Prepare all inventory and supply planning reports accurately reflecting the flow of materials and ensuring lot traceability. Proactively use this data to contribute to strategic decisions and initiatives
    • Foster effective cross-functional teamwork and drive plan execution. Proactively track critical path activities, anticipate risks, support creating contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time delivery
    • Support other supply chain analyses and ad-hoc projects as needed


    Physical Requirements

    0-10% overnight travel required. Ability to lift 0 – 10lbs.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and APICS/ASCM certifications preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in supply chain operations or manufacturing in biotech or pharma industry preferreD
    • Advanced knowledge and usage of Microsoft Excel for planning scenarios
    • Knowledge of data visualization principles and tools (such as Tableau) strongly desired
    • Experience with ERP systems and/or ERP implementation
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • GxP experience required
    • Strong background in outsourced manufacturing/timelines/requirements
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams, including Materials Management, CMC, Regulatory, Quality, teams
    • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, including ability to multitask and organize/track information
    • Onsite presence (Boulder, CO) required


    The base compensation range for this position is $98,000 to $145,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
