Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. We start paying Warehouse Associates at $18.30 / hr ( $.50 / hr 2nd Shift Premium) . We provide automatic pay raises once 120 days of probation has completed, then again every 3 months until you reach the top of scale at $21.
55 / hr ( $.50 / hr 2nd Shift Premium) , which occurs after only 13 months of working for HYG.
Also, we have no mandatory overtime requirements, but do offer overtime to interested individuals. We have an on-site health care clinic available to employees, with no cost generic prescriptions as long as you are enrolled in our company offered medical plan.
Key accountabilities include :
Pull various aftermarket parts for sales orders, locate and / or putting away parts, verify part numbers and quantities of incoming, in-process and outbound parts, prepare parts (orders) for shipment to customers
Receive incoming materials and parts, read and follow packaging codes, notify inspection of nonconforming parts, preserve, package and properly identify various aftermarket parts, kits and / or assemblies,
Load outbound transportation, follow documented procedures, and ensure order accuracy
Change battery / propane tank on forklifts.
Minimum Qualifications & Essential Skills :
High School diploma / GED preferred
Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
Ability to learn to operate various pieces of equipment (including Fork Lift and an Order Picker)
Ability to work at heights (up to 24 feet) while wearing fall protection equipment
Ability to work under a performance expectation program that measures productivity based on time taken to complete job duties vs. time assigned
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to use a computer and hand held scanning equipment used in warehouse processes.
