Duties

• Plans and schedules work assignments on a weekly or monthly basis.
• Considers the most economical and efficient utilization of available resources such as workers, leaders, equipment, storage space, materials, supplies and tools.
• Provides input/projections for monthly, quarterly and yearly reports or work schedules to higher levels of supervision.
• Establishes deadlines, priorities and work sequences to be followed.
• Adjusts and balances workload among subordinates to achieve an even work flow and to avoid unnecessary backlog.
• Indicates proper methods and procedures to be followed, including specialized handling of hazardous material.
• Issues, receives, and stows various material including Hazardous materials.
• Explains the more difficult technical requirements to be performed. Ensures regulatory, economic, safe, efficient and judicious use of available resources.
• Notes and investigates any work related problems such as increases in cost, product damage, discrepancies, work stoppages, decreased productivity, etc.
