Materials Testing Engineer

    Element has an opportunity for a Non-Metallic Materials Testing Engineer. In this role, you will work with engineers and technicians to perform tasks related to non-metallic materials testing including samplepreparation, test setup, testing, and reporting. This opportunity will provide you with valuable on the jobexperience and exposure to the materials testing field.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform a variety of physical property testing including, but not limited to; tensile, compression, flexural, hardness, thermal conductivity, flammability, water absorption, vapor transmission, color, gloss, adhesion, etc
    • Prepare and analyze non-metallic samples for testing
    • Interpret data, review, and report testing results
    • Perform equipment calibration and preventative maintenance

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Materials Science or a related field is preferred
    • 2-4 years related work experience preferred but not necessary
    • Lab experience a definete plus
