Responsibilities Manufacturing engineers at MMS are responsible for developing the processes or work methods required to produce and test components for our semiconductor capital equipment products working in a dynamic environment that spans manufacturing and production assembly. Manufacturing engineers develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Responsibilities include: Interface with other engineering and manufacturing functions to coordinate the manufacturing and assembly processes Manufacturing point of contact for resolving design and manufacturability issues Estimate manufacturing costs Determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements Develop and use test procedures Participate in the preparation of concept and feasibility studies Gather operational and test data and evaluates results Evaluate work methods, procedures and policies Generate and manage engineering specification waivers Drive engineering corrective actions Work instruction creation and updates Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures and incorporate equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
