Materials Director directs operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Responsibilities:
• Locates missing items and replenishes stock
• Maintains adequate amounts of sterile and unsterile supplies within the work ZONE, at all times (Includes medication rooms)
• Cleans and checks equipment on a routine basis
• Checks supplies for expiration dates and reprocesses and/or discards as indicated
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Must be well organized and knowledgeable in systems supporting material supply.
• Must attain 85% or more on math and reading comprehension tests
• Willingness to attend educational courses to increase knowledge in area of inventory control and budgeting
• Ability to deal with physical and emotional stress
• Must have valid N.Y.S. driver's license
• Experience in inventory control and materials handling preferred
• Must be computer literate.
