Materials Control Manager jobs in Temecula, CA

Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     EXPERIENCE

    • Operation of Group tools and equipment
    • Compliance with Company policies and procedures
    • Compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations
    • Specialty Vehicle Manufacturing Environment

    SKILLS
    • Communication skills – verbal and written
    • Coordinate with supervision and other groups
    • Read and accurately follow schedules, blue prints and diagrams
    • Reporting and documentation
    • Correct use of various equipment
    • Work independently with limited instruction

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Lifting as appropriate for their group and associates
    • Squatting/bending/kneeling/twisting
    • Walk and move about – as required

    SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
    • Safety glasses with side shields
    • Leather work shoes
    • Housekeeping
    • Other Department/Job specific Personal Protective Equipment as required.
    • Safety Requirements –some positions may require state issued CDL/Chauffeurs license

    EDUCATION
    • High School/GED or equivalent relevant experience
