Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Responsibilities:
    • Develop people through regular cadence process and development plans
    • Assess staffing level requirements, support recruiting and interview process, and coordinate training plans
    • Review service schedule to maximize utilization of personnel
    • Maintain accurate training records for all personnel
    • Responsible for delivering reports to support the business and meet Emerson requirements
    • Responsible for estimating service costs and writing proposals
    • Ensures consistent adherence to MSAs, risk mitigation, and project deliverable standards
    • Oversees and assists in developing a resource plan and schedule to execute projects
    • Tracks profitability of the group on both a periodic and project basis
    • Contributes to relationship management with customers, key suppliers, and Emerson
    • Develop/hire the correct skillset(s) required to achieve trusted advisor status with our customers
