Materials Control Manager jobs in Poughkeepsie, NY

We are looking for a dynamic Materials Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, works well with others and is able to manage a team of people across multiple product lines. Strong leadership skills and follow through are a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries
• Responsible for maintaining quality materials and suppliers
• Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory
• Oversees and directs purchasing/buying team.
• Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
• Maintains relationships and negotiates with suppliers
• Purchases supplies and materials according to specifications

Qualifications for Materials Manager

• 10 years experience as Lead purchaser, Sourcing Department Head, or Materials Manager
• Highly Organized with Strong Attention to Detail
• Hard working
• Ability to lead team members
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
• Knowledgeable of forecasting and budgeting
• Ability to solve problems swiftly
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
