    JOB DESIGNATION

    The Materials Manager oversees activities related to the purchase of materials, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and store functions. The Materials Manager will ensure the fiscal financial plan and optimum cost-effectiveness while aligning tasks with company policy and procedures.

    JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Effectively manages and develops staff for the Materials Function and oversees the related activities
    • Ensures a steady flow of work is maintained through the manufacturing areas with proper routing, scheduling, dispatching and expediting of materials, including follow-up of work in process
    • Sets team's goals and objectives to achieve the functional, departmental and businesses objectives
    • Maintains surveillance over all materials, functions, and work in process, according to established rules and policies
    • Identifies roadblocks and inefficiencies in business processes and make improvements to ensure requirements are met efficiently
    • Maintain the lowest possible net inventories and assure economical make/buy decisions
    • Ensures general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements
    • Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
    • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

    Other responsibilities as assigned

    • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
    • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree is required

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Min. 4 years of increasing leadership responsibility within manufacturing operations requiring advanced project planning and team organizational skills.
    • Experience working in or with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing disciplines is a plus.

    • Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business consideraions. Pay Range: $100K-$135K (target $120K) plus Annual bonus target: 10%
