Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    Purpose:

    The Branch Manager is a pivotal role, responsible for providing leadership, ensuring customer service standards, supporting sales, compliance with company policies and procedures, and managing a safe working environment. This role plays a crucial part in delivering a seamless customer experience while optimizing asset management, process efficiency, and safety. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage operational staff day-to-day, including training, coaching, and mentoring to foster a collaborative team environment.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe workplace free of injuries through actions and leadership.
    • Responsible for all aspects of the branch's profit & loss. 
    • Focus on factors that ensure outstanding customer experience, compliance, productivity, and profitability.
    • Contribute to and support the achievement of top-line sales goals. 
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and regulatory compliance.
    • Interview, hire, and onboard all branch staff.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years of Management experience
    • 1 or more years of building materials experience preferred
    • College degree desirable
    • Motivated by outcomes, proactive, structured, and high attention to detail. 
    • Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment, composed under pressure

     

    Work Environment:

    The atmosphere is that of a warehouse environment and office space. This position will primarily work in a facility where forklifts are present. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for the branch location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Frequent use of company communication devices is required such as a computer, cell phone, and printer.
