Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Manages the Montana based plastic and metals machining center which supports Applied Materials business units with precision parts

    • Establishes project schedules, timelines, and controls, while monitoring production metrics and budgets through business processes and systems

    • Plans and evaluates optimal resource utilization and efficiency of operation to minimize costs and allow for on-time delivery of product to customers.

    • Leads continuous improvement efforts and projects to refine production methods and automate processes to produce quality products

    • Identifies and pursues new equipment and software technologies to improve production, cycle time, efficiency and resource utilization

    • Provides senior leadership, guidance, mentorship, and personal development of his/her direct reports in the areas of daily operational management, systems development, and optimization. And ensures that all direct reports are sufficiently skilled, trained, and perform their functions in efficient manner.

    • Identifies process and quality changes designed to improve manufacturing or department capabilities. Drives Lean, Safety and Quality.

    • Directs, guides, monitors, and evaluates personnel to accomplish specific production, housekeeping, and safety procedures and processes (6S).

    • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of vertical and horizontal mills, CNC programming, plastics & metals machining, and sheet-metal manufacturing

    • Management of multiple work-centers, related machinists, CapEx, budgets, and various managerial task such as employee and business reviews

    U.S. Salary Range:

    $128,000.00 - $176,000.00

    The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

    For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
