Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Inventory Audit and Control Manager

  • The Manager of Inventory Audit & Control is responsible for analyzing and auditing the completeness and accuracy of inventory and developing processes and procedures for loss mitigation.


    General Responsibilities

    • Managing the accuracy of the inventory controls at the various locations.
    • Performing “ABC” Analysis and other related inventory evaluations to be used to plan and evaluate results.
    • Developing and planning multi-location cycle count programs consisting of full physical counts and cycle counts.
    • Develop and implement best practices and procedures to minimize loss over inventory control.
    • Producing compliance reports to monitor and address timely correction of variances.
    • Assess and implement Asset Tracking initiatives across locations.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained and in conjunction with ERP system.
    • Liaise and coordinate with the respective departments to forecast future inventory requirements.
    • Managing and coaching staff of different levels on and off-site.
    • Report to management on inventory trends and accuracy.
    • Provide inventory analysis and status reports relating to all locations.
    • Perform other related duties as requested.

    Training

    • Create best practice employee inventory management and stock count training with manual.
    • Department refresher training Year End stock count – best practice and uniformity of process present to team.

    Person Specification

    • Excellent communication skills with varying level throughout the organization.
    • Ability to supervise and develop a diverse team.
    • Self-starter and able to work in a dynamic environment with minimum supervision.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree required at a minimum.
    • Willing to travel approximately 50%
    • Experience working as auditor for accounting firm required.
    • Six-Sigma certifications preferred.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience including managing remote inventory locations and supervising a team.
    • Experience w/ Asset Tracking and Rentals on a national scale preferred.
    • Muli-location experience (15 to 20 location) managing over $75 M in inventory across multiple locations.
    • Proficient with MS Office with a strong emphasis on Excel.
    • SAP B1 Experience strongly preferred (Resolv WMS a plus).
    • Background in Manufacturing / Distribution & Warehousing / Rentals Industries highly desirable.
    • Ability to scale responsibilities to a global scale.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and over 70 with assistance if necessary.
