Managing multiple orders and anticipating the needs of our largest customers of high mix assemblies is the top focus. Lead the plant materials function in the achievement of their overall objectives of high customer satisfaction and efficient operation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following is a list of essential functions, which may be subject to change at any time without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Deliver high supplier performance rating with customer. • Direct all activities of Receiving, Warehousing, Collaboration with Purchasing, Production Control, Master Scheduling and MRO Crib. • Develop and maintain effective Materials Control systems • Direct and Manage production planning schedules and supplier delivery plans to meet delivery targets and control inventory. • Prepare, control, monitor departmental efficiencies, provide communication to outside sales forecast and earned hour projections for plant planning requirements. • Develops and leads planning process by setting priorities, tracking status, ordering raw materials, and delivering timely information to sales, operations, quality and customers. • Manages and maintains the production schedule, shop floor level loading and coordination of material acquisition and kitting activities to achieve 100% on time delivery within rapidly changing high mix order environment. • Ability to manage / monitor dozens of orders in parallel throughout all aspects of the organization • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. • Build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and customers. • Expert level written and verbal communication skills. • Proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response. Universal Expectations • Authority to stop production or shipments when suspect parts are found and responsibility for quality of parts produced. • As relevant to the job, functional knowledge and utilization of Carter Fuel Systems Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Standard • As a condition of employment, employee is expected to comply with our safety policies and procedures. • Employee is expected to reuse and/or recycle work materials and not pollute the environment. Masters preferred, APICS certification is preferred • B.S. in Business Management or purchasing/supply chain discipline.
