Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Inventory Control

    Position Summary:

    The primary function of Inventory Control is to manage inventory through database and maintain levels required daily to meet distribution demands.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Receive and issue finished goods into computer database.
    • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
    • Resolve discrepancies regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
    • Work with counter staff to Bin locate and properly bar code all products.
    • Coordinate Warehouse transfers between yards, verifying products & quantities.
    • Max Recall all documents daily.
    • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
    • Minimize inventory breakage and shrinkage through monitoring.
    • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
    • Prepare and participate in quarterly and yearly physical inventories.
    • Assisting Counter sales staff with walk in sales & phone call orders.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
    • Strong Microsoft office skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Control

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to remain in stationary position in an office environment: 60%
    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment and warehouse.
    • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
    • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
    • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

    • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
    • Must be able to manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects.
    • Must be able to multitask.
    • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
    • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
