We are seeking a friendly, organized individual to provide world-class customer service to our Material Handling Industry Members. As the Membership Coordinator for MHI you will support the Membership Development and Membership Experience Managers in their efforts to increase membership participation, engagement, and retention through superior service and program management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of customer service for our members, conduct outreach, and respond to inquiries from potential members.
Provide direct response to online member inquiries.
- Manage the data collection and validation for our highly successful Loyalty Points program.
- Support the Membership team with reporting and data management within our Salesforce ecosystem.
- Improve retention by handling membership cancellation calls with the goal to reduce membership attrition and improve member experience.
- Assist in the creation, coordination and execution of MHI Spring Meeting and Annual Conference.
- You will support the MHI mobile app with ongoing content updates and general user administration.
- Periodically visit member companies and user facilities to gain knowledge of the company and their customers.
- Update the customer database (Salesforce) on a regular basis and provide assistance in the collection of membership dues. Provide administrative support as needed, which includes preparing and proofing communications.
- Assist with the operational management of the Water Oak Conference Center and guest relations as needed.
- Work directly with the IT department to request system enhancements to promote greater process efficiency.
Successful Candidate will have:

- Well-organized pays attention to detail
- Proven ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and apply relevant interdepartmental information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Microsoft Project a plus)
- Experience with a CRM / Salesforce is a plus
- Five years experience in customer service, marketing, or event planning
- Availability and willingness to work outside regular business hours and occasionally travel within the U.S.
- Experience in the material handling industry or membership a plus
