Schedule : 7am-3 : 30pm

General Summary / Overview Statement :

Are you detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills? We're seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our team at Perioperative Services.

Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, you'll provide crucial logistical support to the Central Sterile Processing and Supply (CSPS) department, ensuring efficient supply replenishment workflows.

Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, breakdown, distribution, and stocking of generic supplies within the Perioperative Services footprint.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Receiving & Stocking :

• Safely de-case orders in breakdown areas, maintaining a clean environment by removing all cardboard.
• Handle and distribute supplies with care to preserve sterile product integrity.
• Stock all non-specialty supplies and inventory items in designated locations.
• Replenish supply locations using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedure to maintain sterility and prevent stockpiling.
• Regularly check for outdates and remove expired products from supply locations.
• Monitor overstock storage areas and restock depleted locations accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in supply locations, ensuring items are properly shelved.
• Clean storage bins and shelves periodically to maintain a dust-free environment.
• Keep breakdown areas tidy and clear of excess inventory, coordinating with Environmental Services to manage waste.
• Provide assistance to end users and staff regarding product location, delivery, and returns as needed.

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies Required :

• Strong work ethic and flexibility are essential.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar programs.
