Dock Staff

Fun working in the sun on the docks! The Dock Staff is the main point of contact for Members at the dock. They are friendly and upbeat individuals who greet our Club Members and ensure that the vessels are presentable. Our Dock Staff communicates with members while on the docks and boats, assists members with the departing and returning of the boats. This position is part-time, full-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. We love staff who are outgoing, smile and want to have responsibility around 20-25ft boats.

Responsibilities & Skills

• Experience in or around boats and docks is preferred but not necessary.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving

• Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets
• Own a cell phone to be able to communicate to manager and other staff
• Must be comfortable with physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing, and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds
• Possess a positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
• Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet
• Perform equipment checks to make sure all necessary equipment is on board
• Clean and maintain vessels and Club Location according to company standards
• Perform daily clerical work to prepare reservation logs, fuel logs and weather reports
• Be familiar with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to Members
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
• Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time
• Adhere to all safety policies

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
