Massage Therapist jobs in York, PA
Massage Therapist performs massage therapy in a healthcare setting to control pain and promote wellness. Consults with a client, records their basic medical history, assesses their conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on their current health. Being a Massage Therapist utilizes soft or deep tissue massage or other therapeutic massage methods to provide pain relief and promote healing. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Massage Therapist typically reports to a manager. Requires certification as a Massage Therapist. Massage Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. General Responsibilities:- Maintain health history forms
- Develop and propose client treatment plans specific to client and describe type of massage to be used.
- Maintain accurate treatment and medical records for each client.
- Maintain daily appointments
- Arrive on-time for appointments
- Create a safe and pleasant environment for each client
- Maintain current certification or degree
- Change sheets, lotions, launder sheets after every client
- Record time, receipts, and appointments and submit to supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of massage rooms, waiting area and bathroom as needed.
- Consult the marketing department to grow the JSpa using monthly emails and social media.
- Build clientele through tabling/wellness fairs and offering chair massages to members once a month
