    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a knowledgeable and caring Massage Therapist who treats patients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. With their touch, the therapist relieves pain, helps heal injuries, improves circulation, relieves stress, increases relaxation, and aids in the general wellness of clients. This person should be thorough, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of musculoskeletal and nerve injuries, and how to treat them. Massage therapists collaborate with other professionals such as chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists to assist with treatments, therefore great communication and professional skills are strongly desired.

    Duties:
    • Evaluate clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion
    • Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used
    • Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries or wellness maintenance
    • Prepare and blend oils, and apply the blends to clients' skin
    • Discuss with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists in order to develop treatment plans for clients
    • Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients
    • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions
    Qualifications:
    • Able to provide eligibility for employment for any U.S. employer
    • Experience working in a medical environment or setting preferred
    • Experience as a professional massage therapist given preference
    • Must have an active State of Michigan License in good standing
    • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
    • Proficient knowledge of trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massage
    • Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods
    • Ability to perform massages on diverse clients
    • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
    • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
    • Proven excellence in patient safety and care.
    • Friendly, empathetic & respectful.
    • Reliable in work results, timeliness & attendance.
    • Ability to relate to and work effectively with a wonderfully diverse populace.
    • Able to work in a fast-paced, and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy.
