Title: Event Operations Manager / Contractor

The Event Operations Manager works within the Operations Department assisting and working on events, festivals and marketing activations for a wide range of clients. This role must work closely with all departments including Partner Services, Strategy, Creative, Finance, and Talent/Staffing. The Event Operations Manager is involved in the production and maintenance of all assets that are utilized in our events, festivals and tours ranging from vehicles and electronics to banners, signage, and fabricated assets. The role includes venue/site management, resourcing, logistics, budgeting, managing staff, and coordinating technical and production requirements.
The ideal candidate for this contract role has a strong passion and aptitude in live events and festivals, experiential marketing campaigns, venue management plus vehicle and mechanical structures. Success in this role requires experience in event operations, catering, product launches, stunts, tradeshow campaigns, or sampling campaigns. An ability to perform basic maintenance on large structures as well as some production of small to medium activation elements is preferred. This person must enjoy and have a strong ability to think on their feet, troubleshoot quickly, and be able to always solve problems to the satisfaction of the client. This position also requires being highly organized in event and logistics management and building long-lasting relationships with both clients and vendors. In addition, this position requires:
- Clearly translate creative ‘Production/Ops Briefs” ideas into detailed activation plans with scalable budget and vendor options.
- Manage production schedules, run-of-shows, project related production documents, and organization of pertinent information including ramp up, ramp down, and asset inventory with photos.
- Source vendors, negotiate contracts and fees, manage bidding and estimates, abide by company billing and invoicing terms, and policies; clearly communicate any scope changes that affect budget.
- Work cross-functionally (internally and externally) collaborating with Partner Services and Creative to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are mutually-agreed upon, managed, and met including budgets and invoicing.
- Collaborate with other teams on project management platform, Asana.
- Ensure project files are promptly shared to program shared drives.
- Supervise production and fabrication of program elements, safeguarding quality control.
- Manage tour logistics, transport & shipping, loading & unloading, securing and maintaining vehicles & trailers, DOT compliance and reporting, asset inventory, ramp up & ramp down, storage & warehousing.
- Provide onsite event management (if required), including direction of labor staff, city/site/event/vendor main point of contact, procuring required equipment, schedule load-in/out, oversee set-up & strike, logistics, warehousing, wrap-up & debrief.
- Proactively troubleshooting solutions and flagging operational concerns for activations/events.
- Expectation is to complete all assigned work in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines given to you specifically timesheets, POs/invoices, Abacus expenses. If you are unable to meet the deadline, you are expected to communicate the delays to your supervisors with a proposed solution, and ask for assistance with any roadblocks.

What You’re All About:
- 3-5 years of experience in events, experiential marketing, or venue management preferably in a production, operations, permitting, partnership/event sponsorship negotiations or logistics role.
- Superior attention to detail, organization, and time management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
- Ability to effectively work as part of a larger team.
- Basic knowledge in OSHA and Fleet compliance.
- General computer skills and working knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to travel approximately 25-35% of your time at RedPeg.
