Marketing Director directs marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies for all products and services for the organization. Translates the overall marketing vision into integrated business plans, tactics, projects, and deliverables. Being a Marketing Director oversees critical marketing functions, including market research, communications, and product planning. Utilizes technology and data to Identify changes in the competitive environment and enable responsive marketing activities. Additionally, Marketing Director develops budgets, resources, and teams to execute short-term and long-term marketing plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Moiré Marketing Partners, a strategic branding and design agency, seeks an experienced business development professional to lead the firm’s marketing and growth initiatives.
Overview:
The ideal candidate will oversee the success and growth of existing accounts and identify new companies and/or organizations that can benefit from our services. This person will be a passionate self-starter, detail-orientated, and flexible. Industry contacts are a major plus.
Responsibilities:
- Identify business development opportunities and manage the process from concept to delivery.
- Plan, supervise and participate in events on behalf of the firm, such as trade shows, conferences, seminars, etc.
- Research and analyze markets and conduct competitive intelligence.
- Meet mutually agreed-upon sales quotas and targets.
Qualifications:
- 10 years business development experience.
- 4 years experience in an agency environment.
- Solid understanding of creative, branding and digital marketing and be able to "speak the language."
- Proven track record of success.
- Takes an ownership approach to projects.
- Articulate, organized, and detailed.
- Self-starter, motivated, ambitious and driven.
- Experience writing proposals and sales materials.
- Experience in Higher Ed, Associations or Professional Services a plus
