Being a Marketing Director oversees critical marketing functions, including market research, communications, and product planning. Utilizes technology and data to Identify changes in the competitive environment and enable responsive marketing activities. Additionally, Marketing Director develops budgets, resources, and teams to execute short-term and long-term marketing plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Revant offers a competitive compensation package including:

    • Base salary, $120,000 - $140,000 (dependent upon experience)

    Essential Functions

    Strategic Leadership

    • The director is the marketing visionary, who understands Revant's consumers and anticipates theirbehaviors.
    • Revant is a direct to consumer company. The Marketing Director will be responsible for setting KPIs and the development of a digital marketing and communications strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives
    • Lead and manage the marketing team in creating a cohesive vision and inspire collaboration of cross-functional teams
    • Effectively delegate priorities based on the marketing plan
    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to generate global consumerinteraction, build brand awareness and customer loyalty.

    Growth Strategy 

    • Manage traffic generation and the marketing budget allocation for efficient revenue growth
    • Responsible for forecasting sales demand and new product projections in partnership with the product and ecommerce teams
    • Work with the customer retention specialist to develop and execute strategies to increase customer lifetime value through retention and loyalty initiatives
    • Create and guide strategic execution of the promotional calendar 

    Data Analytics and Insights

    • Analyze and report on marketing performance using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other business intelligence tools
    • Leverage advanced analytics for informed decision making based on current data and data obtained from analysis, determine, and implement a budget andstrategy that optimizes the use of external agencies and in-house teams.
    • Understand customers through research and analysis of key metrics and create shared understanding of our target customer across the company

    Brand Development

    • Oversee the development of the brand and design, including managing creators, content strategy, and defining the brand’s identity, voice, tone, and key messages

    Multi-Channel Marketing

    • Partner with the product and ecommerce team to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and services
    • Oversee and manage full funnel marketing performance across multiple channels to ensure marketing KPIs and overall company goals are hit
    • Build an awareness marketing program including social media, influencers, PR, affiliates, and other channels to grow brand reach and engagement.

    Competencies

    • Strong experience developing and overseeing digital growth marketing strategies and KPIs, with a focus on measurable results
    • Strong leadership, development and management skills
    • Proficient at forecasting demand and new product projections
    • Proficient with in data visualization and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and excel
    • Strong understanding of attribution modeling
    • Excellent budget management and resource allocation skills
    • Strong understanding of marketing channels and the full marketing funnel 
    • Extensive experience leading and managing a team to achieve company goals
    • Experience with new customer acquisition and retention techniques with a track record in driving traffic and sales growth.
    • Experience managing brand and design development and creative content strategy
    • Experience in negotiating contracts with vendors, agencies, and contractors
    • Experience in identifying and opening up new revenue channels

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or equivalent experience — MBA is a plus.
    • Minimum of 5 years of direct-to-consumer (DTC) company leading the Marketing function of a scalable organization. Must have successfully achieved growth at a company doing $20MM in DTC sales.
    • 5 years of people management experience.
    • Advanced experience with data visualization and analytics tools

    Work Environment - Hybrid (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office)

    While working remotely, you will need a quiet space that you can use to allow you to be present and focused during work hours.  In addition to two days in the office per week, your position may require you to be physically in the office more often when projects or in person meetings are required. 

    When working at the office, we operate under Good Manufacturing Practices which may at times require wearing safety glasses and closed toe shoes.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

     

    Travel

    Potential for 2-3 weeks of travel per year.
