West Fargo Public Schools is seeking a personable and creative individual to serve as the district’s Marketing and Communications Specialist. This position works with all departments across the school district to share the many great stories of the learners and educators in West Fargo Public Schools, the #districtofchoice.
POSITION: Marketing & Communications Specialist - West Fargo Public Schools
TERM: Year-round position, Monday-Friday
SUMMARY: The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for designing, writing, and editing a broad array of materials; gathering photos and videos of district events; overseeing the district’s social media accounts and the website; serving as the district’s brand manager; managing the district’s advertising program; collaborating with the Human Resources Department on recruitment campaigns; facilitating the district’s Staff of the Year program; and planning and hosting district events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, education, or area of similar field
- 1-3 years of communication experience in the business environment is required
- Experience in a school district is preferred
- Ability to reason, interpret, and analyze information to generate new knowledge and understanding
- Adept at problem-solving, resilient when faced with challenges, and skilled in planning and organization
SALARY: 2022-2023 Classified Salary Schedule - B242
Starting hourly range: $23.10/hr to $26.57/hr depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and paid leave!
West Fargo Public Schools offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package. The salary listed for this position is the base cash salary and excludes retirement contributions. For eligible classified positions, the district contributes 8.26% of the employee’s annual salary to the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS).
