Marketing Communications Specialist (Full Time)

Duties and Responsibilities

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Full Time – Year Round – Seasonal Schedule (weekdays, weekends and some evenings to cover special events.)

The Marketing Communications Specialist at Tweetsie Railroad will utilize their creativity and organizational skills to work together, as part of the Marketing team, to help plan, execute and oversee a wide range of marketing materials, digital marketing, social media, signs, and coordinate special events to effectively engage our target audience and drive attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Printed Materials: Develop and update brochures, flyers, banners, posters, and other printed materials. Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, and printers to ensure high-quality production. Manage the distribution and placement of printed materials at strategic locations.

• Digital Marketing: Assist the Marketing Director in creating and implementing digital marketing campaigns through various online channels (website, email, paid advertising).
• Social Media: Assist with digital content creation and execution of social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement. Generate creative and engaging content, including text, images, and videos. Help monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and reviews.

• Signage: Work together with other departments to oversee the creation, installation, and maintenance of signs within the theme park. Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all signage. Coordinate with vendors for sign production and maintenance.

• Special Events: Collaborate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and sponsors to ensure successful events, including themed weekends, seasonal celebrations, and promotional activities. Promote events through various marketing channels.

Qualifications Desired

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills (including editing)
• Proficient project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing strategies.
• Demonstrated experience with social media platforms
• Familiar with database management (CRM, Microsoft, Google, POS)
• Basic digital photography and video editing experience
• Knowledge or ability to learn basic design and print programs (i.e. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva)
• Willingness to work occasionally in the park, at the service level, as well as some evenings and weekends for special events as needed.
