Manager, Marketing Strategy and Operations
POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Manager of Marketing Strategy and Operations, you will play a key role in increasing the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of our global marketing team's efforts to help Milliken deliver on our growth priorities.
You will work together with marketers across the company to continuously improve processes, share best practices, enable marketing tools/technology, develop talent, and measure performance against goals. Ultimately, you will be a change agent helping to ensure our marketing team is delivering measurable value and transforming how we operate today to be a more digital-first, customer-centric organization for the future.
This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and offers flexible mix of in-office and remote. It reports into the VP, Marketing Strategy and Operations and is part of Milliken Marketing Services. This role has direct reports and partners with a larger team of marketing and cross-functional partners to support key enterprise initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning
Work with marketing leadership across the company to define the enterprise marketing agenda including goals, metrics, and roadmaps to advance our marketing excellence maturity.
Facilitate annual marketing plans across Milliken to ensure alignment and amplification of key efforts.
Champion and link efforts to our marketing excellence framework which includes building brand, leveraging insights to inform, generating demand, developing talent, and scoring for success.
Marketing Operations
Manage the cadence, agenda, and presentation development for key meetings throughout the year to facilitate discussions, gain alignment, and report on progress.
Leverage Gartner license/experts to research and share marketing best practices and trends.
Design and implement global marketing processes, workflows, and templates to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure governance is in place and maintain a marketing self-service hub that provides marketing team members with easy access to digital tools, approved agency network, playbooks, process maps, templates, etc.
Project Management and Shared Services
Provide project management support for major marketing initiatives (build charters, plan projects, and execute).
Optimize our marketing shared services model to ensure internal client needs are understood and met.
Talent Development and Training
Lead marketing learning and development plan and maximize usage of our on-line MarketingProfs training tool.
Maintain marketing career framework to help associates understand growth and advancement opportunities.
Performance Management and Analytics
Define, track, and report monthly on key marketing initiatives and KPI metrics to measure performance against goals and enable the marketing team to be data-driven in their planning and decision making.
Hire and onboard a marketing analytics specialist to enhance KPI dashboards (in Power BI, SAP AC, and CRMA) and conduct strategic or ad hoc analysis.
Manage the Milliken Marketing Services team budgets to support priorities.
Collaboration and Change Management
Work closely with colleagues at all levels throughout the organization and flex style to build trust and consensus.
Develop change management communications plans for all major initiatives.
