This position provides direction and oversight for developing, deploying, enhancing, and monitoring communication initiatives and tactical plans. Serve as a 'front-line' communications resource presenting Friends University to a range of internal and external stakeholders using both traditional channels and new media as appropriate. Develop and maintain a proactive media relations plan, including development of news releases, management of media inquiries and interview requests. Maintain and cultivate contacts with media. Plan, develop and produce twice-yearly University magazine. Manage, develop, and proof weekly email newsletter for faculty and staff. Write content for releases, alumni magazine, brochures, and other printed materials as needed.
