Marketing Communication Director directs, implements, monitors, and evaluates marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Director builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry and develop a focused communication program. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Director explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. The Marketing Director will manage the Center customer flow (referral), admissions process including community sales referral management and the admission sign-in. The Marketing Director will also meet census goals by working with the facility’s interdisciplinary team and Genacross Lutheran Services ministries to coordinate customer flow into and through the nursing center.

· Guide the facility’s sales program which ensures; strong customer, referrer and payer satisfaction, appropriate market outreach, positive public image, and maximization of center QMix and Average Daily Census goals.
· Assess inquiries when necessary and respond to referrers based on protocol – Admissions Policy and Procedure, communicate admission decision and ensure positive admission experience for customer and family.
· Ensure an immediate response to electronically, phone, fax and walk-in inquiries and referrals and notifies Executive Director.
· Coordinate tour and sales process with customers, families and referrers, either personally or through Admissions.
· Conduct follow-up on all inquiries which have not yet been converted to admissions.
· Review performance statistics including customer flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials of hospital discharges and sales activity.
· Facilitate sales opportunities for public relations by identifying, initiating, nurturing and maintaining contact with physicians, churches, assisted livings, etc. as it related to individual centers as well as center cluster, including presentations in groups and individual settings; work with Executive Director to follow-up as needed.
· Stay abreast of services available within the facility and throughout Genacross Lutheran Services in order to serve as a liaison with hospital discharge planners and other professionals to assist in efficient use of facility and alternate care settings within Genacross Lutheran Services.
· Provide information to referral sources of customer’s progress as appropriate within HIPPA guidelines.
· Develop and implement long-range and short-term sales plays (MAPS).
· Coordinate and participate in presentations about the facility or other appropriate healthcare topics to hospitals, physicians, and other potential referral sources.
· Work with the Executive Director to ensure customer satisfaction and to assess/respond to customer satisfaction surveys.
· Develop effective solutions with creativity and responding to issues while multitasking.
· Prioritize and plan work activities.
· Communicate clearly, informatively effectively and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
· Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, unexpected events or the unknown in the work environment.
· Must be open and enthusiastic to new ways of performing tasks.
· Ability to adjust work schedule based on facility’s business needs, specifically incoming admissions.
· Local travel is required for this position.
· Performs other job duties as assigned.
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting.
· College degree in the field of health care administration, business management and/or marketing or public relations preferred.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to learn new software application as required by the position
· Requires excellent organizational skills and good judgement skills.
