Marketing Communication Director directs, implements, monitors, and evaluates marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Director builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry and develop a focused communication program. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Director explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee planning for trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops budgets and internal and external resources for communication program delivery. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Marketing Communication Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Communication Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing plan for the credit union. Provide research activities on marketing trends within the industry. Recommend marketing strategies. Perform a variety of creative and support duties related to the marketing function within the credit union. Manage key vendor relationships.

    Specific Duties:

    Deliver high-quality, consistent service to both external and internal members that fulfill our service promises.

    • Respectful, Resourceful, Attentive, Responsive, Accurate, and Appreciative.
    • Continuously review and improve company internal controls and operating procedures in order to protect member accounts, cash, investments, and assets from loss.
    • Research industry trends and demographics relative to the field of membership and develop recommendations for products, services, and marketing programs to provide quality member service that meets the financial needs of members.
    • Design creative marketing and public relations concepts. Develop marketing concepts into innovative programs which will enable the credit union to achieve its strategic goals.
    • Review all forms and letters used in the Marketing Department and throughout the Credit Union. Responsible for the Marketing supplies inventory, mailing supplies to branches, and supply re-orders from vendors. Ensure correct distribution and placement of all branch merchandising, including but not limited to posters, electronic media, ATM screens, signage, and specialty items.
    • Report any suspected questionable conduct involving financial improprieties, violation of operating procedure, company policies, misuse of Credit Union’s assets, or other fraudulent, dishonest, or illegal conduct detrimental to the interests of the Credit Union.
    • Responsible for regular maintenance of Transcend Clubs, i.e. Dollar Dog Youth Club and MyCash Club, etc.
    • Maintain member anniversary and reward programs, utilizing MCIF database.
    • Utilize a variety of computer applications in the design and implementation of marketing materials.
    • Manage Internet and Intranet content changes.
    • Develop creative design and content for quarterly paper and electronic member newsletters.
    • Coordinate statement stuffers to mailing house and manage monthly statement messages.
    • Interface with various vendors including dealerships, printers, mail houses, and advertising agencies, to ensure that all promotional components are produced accurately and adhere to deadlines.
    • Support Branches with various events including trade shows, benefit fairs, local chamber expos, and community events. Assist with mailings, faxes, emails, and general contact with businesses and organizations.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with a minimum of five years of work experience in the marketing or financial services industry preferred.
    • Experience in supervising, coaching and developing employees is preferred.
    • Experience with Strategic Marketing Plans and advertising experience preferred.
    • Maintain a consistently positive, helpful attitude with internal and external members. Act with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and provide outstanding service. Must be service driven.
    • Ability to abide by Transcend's Service Mission and Promises.
    • Present a polished, professional image regarding conduct and appearance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
    • Ability to proficiently use a personal computer and applicable software employed by the Credit Union including the Microsoft Office suite. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Point and Adobe Design Suite - Illustrator, End Design and Photoshop.
    • Excellent attention to detail, strong planning and organizational skills, accuracy, and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated; ability to perform at a high level with minimum supervision. Driven by results.
    • Ability to ensure a high level of performance and goal achievement from staff. Ability to effectively coach and motivate employees.
    • Ability to produce quality work and meet critical deadlines, while coordinating or participating in multiple projects. Ability to adapt to changing assignments and priorities.
    • Ability to cross-sell Credit Union products and services effectively and accurately.
    • Available to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
