Marketing Communication Director directs, implements, monitors, and evaluates marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Director builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry and develop a focused communication program. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Director explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee planning for trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops budgets and internal and external resources for communication program delivery. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Marketing Communication Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Communication Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     our dedicated team. As a non-profit organization committed to rescuing and caring for animals in need, we are
    looking for a creative individual who will advance our mission through effective marketing strategies.

    KEY RESULTS:Responsibilities:
    1. Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans to
    increase public awareness about our center, its mission, and the animals in our care. Utilize various
    marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, website content, and community outreach
    programs.
    2. Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors and sponsors. Create
    donor overviews of impact of contributions and volunteerism. and support and report them with
    regular frequency and integrate them consistently into marketing materials. Provide regular updates
    and reports to donors about the impact of contributions.
    3. Content Creation & Digital Marketing: Produce engaging and compelling content. Use storytelling to
    showcase the heartwarming success stories of our rescued animals. Manage the organization's social
    media presence, website updates, and online advertising campaigns to increase online engagement and
    attract potential supporters.
    4. Increase membership and volunteer base: by actively engaging marketing activities that reach
    community groups and businesses with a presence.
    5. Secure donations of marketing materials: actively seek contributions of donated print and media
    services.
    6. Event Promotion: Advertise fundraising events, adoption campaigns and community engagement
    activities. Ensure maximize event participation and donations.

    7. Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to align
    marketing and fundraising efforts with the center's overall goals.
    8. Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze marketing and fundraising performance metrics to identify areas for
    improvement and measure the impact of initiatives.

    Requirements:
    The preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required for success in this position are typically acquired
    through the completion of a relevant bachelor’s degree (examples: public relations, marketing,
    communications, business administration, and sales and fundraising), and 5 years in communication and
    marketing (preferably for a nonprofit) OR a suitable combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in marketing, fundraising, or a similar role in the non-profit sector.
    • Strong written (ability to write powerful, persuasive, and engaging copy as well as edit print collateral
    written by other team members) and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain and
    promote the Center's mission impact effectively.
    • Creative and strategic thinking skills to develop innovative marketing and
    fundraising strategies that result in positive outcomes.
    • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms.
    • Possess excellent attention to detail, creativity and general knowledge of basic graphic design and utilize
    project management software to track goals across your projects, tasks and teams.
    • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a small, cross-functional team, manage multiple
    projects and tasks on deadlines with focus on results.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with donor management systems.
    • Previous experience in marketing and donor relations. Proven record of a thorough understanding of
    marketing strategies and practices.
    • Knowledge of animal welfare issues and the challenges faced by animal shelters.
