Marketing Communication Director directs, implements, monitors, and evaluates marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Director builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry and develop a focused communication program. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Director explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee planning for trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops budgets and internal and external resources for communication program delivery. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Marketing Communication Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Communication Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The associate director II of internal communications is a member of the marketing & communications team, ensuring that AEF’s marketing and communications initiatives accurately reflect our brand. This individual will actively collaborate with the team and other internal stakeholders to develop strategies to engage with internal and external audiences through effective communication initiatives.


    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops and executes a multichannel communication program to further connect with internal stakeholders, financial advisors, donors, and partner firms.
    • Creates and launches internal communications content across a variety of communications channels (i.e., SharePoint, emails, digital signage, newsletters, All Hands meetings, videos); leads the curation and updating of the internal communications content calendar.
    • Ensures the AEF brand narrative and storytelling initiatives (i.e., who we are, what we do, AEF difference, AEF by the numbers) are properly adhered to.
    • Plans and executes ongoing development and deployment of marketing and communication campaigns that educate and create awareness both internally and externally.
    • Creates style guidelines and brand voice outlines for all Internal and external communication efforts.
    • Develops conference strategy and works with business development team regarding marketing materials and other items needed for annual conferences.
    • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director.
    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, business administration, public relations or another relevant discipline required
    • 5-7 years’ experience
    • Experience in crisis communication and reputation management

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms
    • Proficiency in leveraging various communication channels, including digital media, social media, and traditional media outlets
    • Knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in communication
    • Knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices
    • Organized and deadline oriented
    • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
