Overview

The Market Data Analyst evaluates market and customer data to provide actionable insights to the sales and management teams. This role will focus on researching and collecting contact and company data for target opportunities, as well as analyzing the competitive landscape for markets that Surf is considering.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and prepare data for reporting and uploading to HubSpot.
• Analyze and clean existing data to improve accuracy and derive insights.
• Provide accurate lead information to the sales team using available data.
• Create summary reports and data visualizations.
• Update existing data stores and integrate new contact/company information.
• Organize data by region, vertical market, target profile, etc.
• Develop analytical models and techniques to standardize data collection using tools such as Excel, Python, and Node.js.
• Create and manage workflow automations using HubSpot.
• HubSpot Commercial Deal Address updates: Download recently created deal records from HubSpot where Commercial Deal Address fields are empty. Extract and organize available address information. Check and update records in Excel. Upload the file to HubSpot to update deal records.
• Prepare data for upload to HubSpot: Filter datasets by relevant criteria, clean and format data, reconcile against existing HubSpot records, import to HubSpot, and resolve any import errors.
• Create HubSpot lists, workflows, etc. as requested: Use HubSpot tools to create lists of records meeting specified criteria, craft workflows, etc.
• Fix issues in HubSpot: Identify and implement solutions for issues in HubSpot, coordinate with HubSpot Administrator if necessary.
• Gather company information in target area: Utilize Google Business records to collect and save company information in a specific area. Add new companies and contacts to HubSpot.
• MDU/Property Management information request: Utilize county GIS records to gather information for MDUs.
• Collect small business information from Facebook pages: Collect information from Facebook pages manually or using Python scripts or Node.js applications.
• Work closely with the sales team to understand their data needs, provide support in utilizing data effectively for lead generation and targeting, and collaborate on identifying new opportunities based on data analysis.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate and present data to share recommendations with colleagues.
• Possess critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within a diverse, widespread workforce oriented around customer satisfaction.
• Experience cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience with a CRM platform (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) preferred.
• Preferred experience with Python and Node.js.
• Preferred experience with map-based platforms (Google Earth, GIS, etc.).
