    Location: Carbondale, IL

    Duration: Long Term

    Travel: Travel to locations primarily in Chicago metro region and throughout northern Illinois to visit partner locations, provide technical assistance and in-person training.

Among its pivotal projects is the management of the state s workforce development web portal. Our client is dedicated to enhancing workforce and economic development through the use of innovative technology and training.

    Position Summary:

    Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration and Training Consultant. This role is critical for the successful adoption and utilization of the workforce development web portal and associated technologies among various stakeholders, including Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners, educational institutions, and community-based organizations. The consultant will be responsible for a broad range of activities, focusing on the integration, training, and support of the platform and related services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement training programs and resources for stakeholders on the use of the web portal and mobile applications, with a focus on intake, service delivery, reporting, and communication functionalities.
    • Work closely with technical team members and other staff to support local partner expansion, enhance online reporting, and ensure a high level of integration and implementation.
    • Develop and provide both in-person and online technical assistance, including weekly technical assistance webinars and on-site training sessions as needed.
    • Collaborate with the Statewide Content Manager and program sponsors to ensure that web applications meet the needs of all partners and their customers.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations and training materials for a variety of events, including board meetings, conferences, and seminars.
    • Develop and publish related content and instructions to support the workforce and career development initiatives.

     

     

     

    Evaluation Criteria:

    Educational Background and Experience:

    • Detail your educational qualifications, emphasizing areas relevant to workforce and economic development, web technology, and adult education.
    • Provide examples and the duration of your experience in:
      • Developing or implementing workforce and economic development content.
      • Implementing web-based systems.
      • Providing program implementation training to WIOA partners, highlighting experience with online systems for intake, service delivery, reporting, and communication.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Documented examples demonstrating effective communication of workforce development program implementation, best practices, and policy requirements.
    • Evidence of excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to designing and implementing features such as dashboards, intake forms, and reporting mechanisms.
    • Documented experience in organizing and presenting information effectively, both in-person and via webinars or other online formats.
    • Examples of your work in reviewing online systems for usability, functionality, and accuracy, and how you collected and implemented user feedback to enhance these systems.
    • Writing samples of articles or research related to workforce development.

    Approach to Meeting Specifications and Requirements:

    • Outline your approach to designing, developing, and implementing resources, processes, and strategies for the integration of web and mobile applications by educational and workforce development organizations.
    • Describe your strategy for working with technical teams and program staff to support local integration, partner expansion, and online reporting.
    • Provide ideas and examples of how you would develop and deliver training and technical assistance to maximize the integration of Illinois workNet tools into daily activities of stakeholders.

    Milestones and Deliverables:

    The consultant will work under the guidance of the Associate Director to complete projects based on deadlines and activities outlined in the Intergovernmental Agreement and Scopes of Work. Specific milestones and deliverables will be assigned and may evolve based on the project's needs.
