Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various marine vessels. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on marine vessels, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in engines, propulsion systems, and electrical systems
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential problems or areas of concern
- Install, repair, and replace boat components such as engines, propellers, steering systems, and electrical wiring
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs and installations
- Test vessels to ensure proper functioning after repairs or maintenance work
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or as a mechanic is preferred
- Knowledge of sheet metal work to repair or fabricate boat parts
- Ability to rig and maintain marine vessels according to industry standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional manner
- Familiarity with electrical systems in marine vessels is a plus
- Proficient in soldering and working with various hand tools
