This position is responsible for helping to determine eligibility of WIC participants by performing income assessment and obtaining and entering participant information. Other duties, but not limited to, include answering phones, scheduling appointments, providing program information and basic office duties. Strong customer service skills are required.Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- Upon appointment, successful completion of state required training within the time designated by state WIC office is required.
- Has Missouri license to operate automobile.
- Be registered with the Family Care Safety Registry maintained by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
- Successful fulfillment of Criminal Background check and Employee Disqualification Lists Check requirements.
Physical Requirements:- Able to communicate verbally and in writing for understandability.
- Vision to type, greet people, and operate standard office equipment, process correspondence and mail.
- Able to perform keyboarding skills.
- Able to greet people in person and communicate well over telephones.
- Able to sit for a period of time.
- Have enough strength to pull out file drawers of heavy file cabinets.
- Able to bend over and maneuver around standard office equipment.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Gown, Gloves, Mask, Goggles
- Able to lift or carry 40 pounds.
Experience:- WIC experience is preferred but not required.
