General Position Summary:

This position will support the daily execution of the manufacturing goals by ensuring equipment and processes are maintained and working at optimum efficiency.

Essential functions and Responsibilities:

• Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment to the component level
• Configure, repair, and support automated assembly equipment in a hybrid manufacturing cleanroom
• Optimize the programming of automated systems to improve repeatability, reliability, and product yields
• Work closely with the engineering team to improve methods, materials and cost of the production of the products
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment on a regular basis
• Respond quickly to resolve issues and problems with equipment and processes on the manufacturing floor
• Assist and train operators on proper operation of equipment
• Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed at all times
• Support the manufacturing operation at the direction of Supervisor and the Manufacturing Manager
• Performs other related duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) year technical degree in a mechanical, electronic field; OR equivalent experience
• Five (5) years’ related experience with technical ability demonstrated
• Troubleshooting electrical circuits, motors, drives, controls for PLCs, optical vision systems, actuators, encoders and robotic/pick and place equipment
• Knowledge in computer hardware and software systems including experience with programming and databases (i.e. visual basic, C , access)
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Management SW programs and best practice use
• Excellent mechanical, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ISO9001 as it pertains to maintenance requirements and procedures
