Production Manager

Reports to: Plant Manger

Supervises: Team Leads, Machine Operators

Job Description:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained and followed. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, operations, engineering, and quality control, to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and implement production plans that align with business goals, ensuring optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery of products.
• Monitor and adjust production plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure team members meet or exceed expectations.
• Implement and enforce quality control standards to uphold product quality. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Efficiently manage production resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety standards.
• Proactively identify process inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve productivity, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 & or AS91000D quality certification experience is a plus.
• Experience in a CNC machine shop.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and other relevant manufacturing software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of drive.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
