This opportunity suits individuals with extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, dedicated to driving project success from inception to manufacturing. Our client is in search of a committed Project Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement process of iron castings and machined iron castings, from quotation to production. This role involves coordination among engineering, finance, research and development, and product deployment departments.
Work Location: Peoria, IL.
Types of Position: Hybrid- minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage sourcing/source moves for iron castings and machined iron castings.
· Oversee quoting, perform quote analysis for best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and manage source transitions.
· Coordinate with Category Buyers, Supplier Development Engineers, Design Engineers to ensure quality, volume, and supplier readiness.
· Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders.
· Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting, to ensure the successful execution of manufacturing projects.
Skills Required:
· Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and preferably Power BI or Tableau.
· Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in financial report analysis, price proposal evaluation, and supplier assessment.
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Purchasing, Casting, Machining, Engineering, Project Management, New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Quality.
Desired Qualification:
· Exceptional business acumen, presentation, and computer skills. Experience in global team coordination and supply chain management knowledge preferred.
