Live Production Manager (poultry)

SALARY RANGE: $140,000 20% bonus

This role manages and provides direction for the Live Production operations necessary to support the plant processing locations, including competitive performance, budgeting, planning, scheduling and maintaining compliance in a safe manner, and for compliance with all local, county, state and federal regulations as they relate to poultry production.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 5 plus years of live production experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel by vehicle to producer's farms, hatcheries, processing or other company and non-company locations as required in the course of day to day business.
• Strong reading, math, writing, communication skills (oral and written), analytical skills , statistical background.
• Poultry husbandry and management experience.
• BS degree in Animal Science or related discipline

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzes trends and variable tasks to identify problem areas or successes and take appropriate action to ensure maximization probability consistent with company philosophy and goals.
• Communicates effectively with subordinates, peers and senior management and non-company personnel to ensure performance and resolution of problems.
• Develops, implements and monitors Live Production budgets for assigned area.
• Complies and follows company requirements regarding bio-security, food safety and poultry welfare programs and policies at all times.
• Maintains safety working environment.
• May travel to Grow out facilities, poultry houses and/or research farms monitoring conditions to ensure bird health.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
