Manufacturing Manager jobs in Greensboro, NC

Duration: 12 months contract (potential to extend)

Overtime: up to 30hrs a month (Weekend Work = YES during peak project times, however the weekend work would be on a rotation basics.

Responsibilities:

• Support the upcoming Production Engineering Project for the battery plant.
• Support planning for installation of machines and processes related to the new production lines.
• Support construction management of contractors tasked with equipment installation.
• Confirm installation quality of machines and processes related to the new / modified production lines.
• Support PE with the planning and assessment of feasible options for construction related activity.
• Liaison for company to construction contractor to validate for project management.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in construction environment, with previous history in project management / supervision of large-scale schedule driven activity.
• Understanding Mechanical, Electrical and Fluid specifications for procuring equipment for install.
• Strong Mechanical experience for the ability to set, level and adjust large complex machinery.
• Schedule of manpower and understanding of overall schedule for large job completions.
• Understanding and strong utilization of MS Excel, Word, and PPT.
• Ability to use AutoCAD for drawing review, bid pack creation.
• Ability for business travel to company's other facilities for on-the-job training until the North Carolina plant is a functional site.

Bonus:

• Previous skilled trades experience a plus. (Ironworker / Millwright / Pipe Fitter)
• Experience with machine uncrate, installation, setting, leveling.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $52.73 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
