Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Manufacturing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What you'll be doing

    • Ensure products are provided to customers on time so that product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies are met.
    • Identify/prioritize/provide resources to assist the department director to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.
    • Supervise the daily manufacturing operations across a department or multiple departments.
    • Emphasize training and implement control systems on the shift or multiple shifts to eliminate product discrepancies.
    • Commit to employee feedback and developmental processes.
    • Collaborate with the other managers/customers to ensure our quality commitments are met. Also to ensure consistency in personnel policy administration across the plant.
    • Help prepare budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility.
    • Responsible for assuring compliances to all regulatory requirements – FDA, OSHA, OFCCP, EPA, etc.
    • Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
    • Perform analytical review, recommend, and implement corrective action for any exception condition.
    • Work with divisional personnel in support of projects within areas of responsibility.
    • Support plant-wide strategic plan programs and activities.
    • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
    • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

    What you'll bring

    • Ability to handle activities of departments through subordinates who exercise full supervision in terms of cost, methods, and employees.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and information and financial reports, understand and resolve technical difficulties, collaborate with internal engineering/technical authorities and external technical representatives, handle multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting, be resourceful to a large manufacturing department.
    • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
    • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to connect with other team members.
    • Requires a bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution, preferably in a technical field. 6-8 years of experience in all aspects of the manufacturing process in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or comparable environment.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.

The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. .
