We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Performs and documents preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities.
• Solve problems and improve processes
• Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment.
• Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
• Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.
• Manages complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations

Experience

• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.Key ResponsibilitiesActive involvement in improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.Help drive team improvements and act as informal mentor for Level I/II Technicians.Ensure completion of identified issues which have not been resolved.Responsible for navigating and submitting documents in Maximo and EASE databases.Continuous learning to keep up-to-date on new technologies and their maintenance.Promote 5S initiatives.Work with manufacturing engineers to learn and practice fundamentals of CNC programming.Plot machine adjustments and work with support groups to implement them.Collect data on various metrics across production lines to support research, improvement and troubleshooting activities.Utilize downtime to practice skills, collaborate with others, and search for improvement opportunities.Assist with other activities as required CompetenciesEffective communication and willingness to investigate when obstacles are encountered Adaptability and ability to work in fast-paced environments.Ability to drive and participate in MCR (Manufacturing Change Request) process.ExperienceMinimum 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing-related field required.
