With manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada, we currently provide advanced signaling solutions for signal masts, signal bridges and cantilevers, electronic component houses, LED color light products, and other related railroad products. We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to expand our industry portfolio beyond the rail industry in our local region.


    LOCATION: Eudora Kansas, ideally in the office, but open to hybrid work environment


    POSITION DUTIES AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Reporting to the Vice President of MMI
    • To thrive in this role the RSM will leverage their OEM industry, distributor and customer knowledge within the territory to implement innovative and progressive strategies to yield new business opportunities
    • The RSM will be responsible for expanding our customer portfolio beyond the rail industry
    • Accountable for the region’s sales growth and profitability
    • Use sales and market data to forecast regional goals, market and industry trends, and opportunities for growth to create the regional sales strategy
    • Stay abreast of evolving industry and market trends, as well as potential gaps in current MMI product offerings, and subsequently make strategic recommendations to company leadership for future product development
    • Prioritizes sales opportunities, interface with all levels at an account and manage relationships and networks.
    • Bring on new customers that have long term partnership potential and strategic value.
    • Contributes to team effort by supporting internal needs and external customer support.
    • Support the Quoting of new products and re-quoting of existing products.
    • Create sales plan for assigned territory, including prospecting, qualifying, and cultivating new sales leads and enhancing existing account sales.
    • Coordinates/Participates in networking and development activities such as special events, tradeshows, exhibitions, etc.
    • Analyzes the market and develops and implements business development strategies in line with company objectives.
    • Coordinates with all departments with the company to communicate client requirements.
    • Maintains product knowledge; understands features and benefits of all products and services potentially sellable by the company.

     


    PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelors Degree Preferred
    • 3 years of OEM market experience within the Kansas Tri-State Region
    • Experience working in the manufacturing industry
    • Experience being in an ISO work environment
    • Have the means to travel to various regional clients, estimated travel is up to 50%
    • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Self starter, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Have excellent listening skills and be on the lookout for client needs.
    • Skills for organizing, planning and follow ups.
    • Must have a great work ethic (self-motivated, results orientated)
    • Aptitude and skill for customer service and solving technical problems.
    • Strong analytical, strategic and computer skills
