Manufacturing Engineer assists in planning and designing manufacturing processes for a production facility. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Being a Manufacturing Engineer determines the parts, equipment, and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a top-notch metal fabrication expert to support our growing heat shield fabrication business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the shop floor, solving problems in close collaborations with production staff. Specific tasks include:- Press tool development and validation
- Weld and assembly fixturing
- Shop floor process improvements and troubleshooting
Skills Required
- Bachelors degree is desirable but may be substituted with successful industry experience.
- Must have at least 5 years experience in metal fabrication, preferably in thin gauge foil products.
- Must have a general understanding of welding, preferably resistance welding per AWS D17.2.
- Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Spanish/English proficiency is desirable.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
